Professor from Peradeniya states able to predict earth quakes based on astronomy

Scientists at the Peradeniya University say they were able to predict earth quakes even before it occurs, based on astronomy. The research carried out by the university had revealed that there was a certain formation of the planets in the solar system every time a quake occurred.

During the time the earth quake occurs researches were done about the solar system and such information was revealed was mentioned by Peradeniya University Professor Athula Senaratne. He said, none has been able to accurately predict when an earth quake will take place. Earthquakes occur when there is a shift between the earth’s plates and the Peradeniya University hopes to identify the location and day when a quake will occur through further research.
